Key features

Built to disappear into your day.

EAL6+ secure element

A dedicated chip isolates and protects your private keys, engineered to resist physical and side-channel attacks to the highest commercial certification available.

Readable 128×64 OLED

High-contrast monochrome display. Every transaction detail is rendered in full — address, amount, fee — so you verify what you are actually signing.

USB-C, and only USB-C

No wireless attack surface. A single physical interface with a physical confirmation button means the Vault only signs when you press it.

HOST COMPUTER — UNTRUSTED Secure Element PRIVATE KEY Signed tx only leaves when button pressed
Security model

Keys stay inside the chip. Always.

The Vault's secure element generates and stores your private keys on-device. They never touch your computer, your phone, or our servers — not during setup, not when signing, not ever.

Every transaction is built on your host, sent to the Vault, displayed on the OLED for you to inspect, and signed only after you press the gold confirm button. The host never sees the key material; the chip never sees your browser.

Build quality

Aircraft-grade aluminum, end to end.

The Vault is machined from a single block of 6061-T6 aluminum, then bead-blasted and anodized. The USB-C port is reinforced with a steel collar rated to 10,000 insertion cycles.

At 21 grams and 56 × 18 × 9 mm, it rides in a coin pocket without announcing itself. IP54 splash resistance means an accidental coffee pour or rainy commute is not the end of the story.

Recovery

Your keys survive the device.

Setup generates a 24-word BIP39 recovery phrase on-device. Write it down on the included steel-paper card, store it somewhere only you can reach, and your wallet survives any loss, fire, or hardware failure.

The Vault restores from that phrase in under a minute. The phrase never appears on any screen except the Vault's own, and ChinaBridge staff will never ask you to type, photograph, or send it anywhere.

Frequently asked

About the Vault.

For most individual self-custody use cases, yes. The Vault shares the same EAL6+ secure element family as our flagship models. The Pro and Fortress add convenience features (touchscreen, Bluetooth, biometrics) and redundancy features (Shamir, hidden wallet), but the underlying key-isolation model is identical.
No. The Vault is USB-C only by design. This minimizes the attack surface and removes any over-the-air concerns. If wireless pairing with a phone matters to you, the Vault Pro and Fortress add Bluetooth 5.3.
Your funds are recoverable from your 24-word backup phrase on any ChinaBridge device or any BIP39-compatible wallet. The device itself holds no value — the backup phrase holds everything. Keep it safe, keep it offline.
Yes. Each Vault ships sealed in a tamper-evident sleeve with a unique hologram. On first connect, the device performs a cryptographic attestation against ChinaBridge's signing key, confirming that the firmware and secure element are genuine. If the check fails, do not proceed — contact [email protected].
Yes. The application firmware is published at github.com/chinabridge/firmware under a permissive license, and has been independently audited by Kudelski Security, Trail of Bits, and Quarkslab. The secure-element layer is proprietary under NDA, consistent with Common Criteria certification requirements.
